Kind Consultancy is working with an award-winning, well-established Alternative Financial Services business which is currently in an ambitious growth phase. As part of their expansion they are now seeking a Compliance Monitoring Lead to join them in a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid work model based in their West Sussex offices, paying circa £60,000.

The Compliance Monitoring Lead will aide the Head of Compliance Monitoring in drafting and implementing a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan, with key responsibilities including:

  • Designing, implementing and managing a comprehensive Compliance Monitoring program to identify and assess areas of non-compliance
  • Undertaking Compliance Monitoring reviews of the firm's pension and insurance products to ensure they are being operated in accordance with the applicable law, regulation and best practice.
  • Identifying improvements to Compliance Monitoring based on emerging risks, regulatory changes or common issues
  • Providing technical support for the team and the wider business
  • Delivering guidance and coaching to less experienced members of the Compliance team
  • Producing detailed written reports on compliance findings and recommendations to support any improvements or remedial actions that may be required
  • Assisting in the oversight and management of any breaches

Our ideal candidate for the Compliance Monitoring Lead opportunity:

  • Has a recognised Compliance qualification (i.e. CII)
  • Has 5 or more years of experience in a pensions or financial services organisation working in a Compliance role
  • Possesses proven experience of managing and leading a compliance monitoring team
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements of the FCA, PRA and TPR
  • Has a good understanding of GDPR regulations and knowledge of Anti Money Laundering rules.
  • Is an excellent communicator, with strong active listening skills
  • Has a problem-solving mindset
