Kind Consultancy is working with a leading specialist retail business which is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join them in a full-time, permanent role based in their Birmingham office, paying up to £26,000.
The Accounts Assistants will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks supporting the external and internal teams, working within a international organisation, with key responsibilities including:
- Building a good rapport with clients and providing the accounting team with relevant information
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Collecting monthly direct debits and making international payments
- Holding responsibility for the purchase ledger, credit control and stock intake
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties
- Administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing
- Scheduling client appointments and managing important departmental deadlines
- Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records and creating new customer accounts
Our ideal candidate for the Accounts Assistant opportunity:
- Has previous experience in Accounting Support work.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Is a confident user of Sage 200
- Holds an Accounting qualification and has a thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
