Kind Consultancy is working with a well-established consumer credit business which is currently seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join them on a 3-month contract paying circa £400 per day with a hybrid work model requiring 3 in-office days per week in their Berkshire offices.

The Regulatory Compliance Manager will provide accurate regulatory guidance to establish if regulatory objectives are being met and good customer outcomes are being provided, with key responsibilities including:

  • Providing support and guidance to the business on compliance requirements, including sign-off for financial promotions.
  • Supporting the delivery of regulatory submissions to the FCA (including SUP15 notifications) and other stakeholders.
  • Managing the provision of advice and guidance on FCA related policies, procedures and processes.
  • Liaising with Regulators and the Financial Ombudsman Service
  • Maintaining a Document Register including following up on periodic reviews and providing mitigation and exception reporting to senior management.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of the Training & Competency scheme.
  • Managing and developing a horizon scanning process, including ensuring upcoming regulatory changes have the appropriate business engagement.
  • Monitoring and recording breaches, escalating to senior stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Managing and responding to customer complaints in line with FCA DISP rules.
  • Conducting Compliance Monitoring on upcoming regulatory change, compliance interpretation changes and policy changes.

Our ideal candidate for the Regulatory Compliance Manager contract:

  • Must have previous experience of Compliance work within a regulated Financial Services environment specifically involving Credit Broking
  • Has strong regulatory knowledge and analytical skills
  • Is able to assess whether the application of regulatory rules and standards is appropriate
  • Has the expertise and credibility to provide accurate, concise Compliance advice to the business
  • Is able to interpret regulatory rules and guidance and translate and apply them
  • Is highly IT-literate and a confident user of Microsoft Office software
