Kind Consultancy is working with a large Financial Services organisation which is currently seeking a Compliance Advisory Officer to join them in a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid work model based in their Birmingham office.
The Compliance Advisory Officer will support the Compliance Advisory Specialist with the the delivery of the business's compliance framework through the provision of technical advisory services, with key responsibilities including:
- Maintaining and updating compliance policies and guidance for the business and it's subsidiaries
- Providing compliance support to internal teams and the wider group of businesses, addressing queries that require deeper regulatory insight and escalating issues where appropriate
- Conducting in-depth research and interpreting regulatory changes and their implications and recommending actions clearly and effectively.
- Overseeing and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our appointed representatives via the compliance inbox and inbound calls, contributing to the business’s vision.
- Supporting the continued development, implementation and compliance of critical business areas including conflict of interest, anti-bribery and corruption, whistleblowing, and where applicable fraud and AML risk assessments
Our ideal candidate for the Compliance Advisory Officer opportunity:
- Is CeMAP qualified with 2+ years of experience working in regulated Financial Services
- Has a good level of knowledge of the FCA Handbook and the regulatory framework governing mortgage, protection and insurance market, in particular, the Appointed Representative Regime, Approved Persons, Consumer Duty and SM&CR.
- Has a good understanding of other industry rules relevant to the Network model, for example, GDPR
- Has excellent communication skills in both writing and speech
- Has a good level of knowledge of mortgages, later life lending, protection and general insurance products and an understanding of the sales process and file standards required.
- Has strong knowledge of compliance sales supervision and monitoring procedures, preferably with experience of this within a Network
- Has the confidence and credibility to provide advice and challenge to first line business stakeholders
