Kind Consultancy is working with a well established Retail Financial Services business which is currently seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join them in a full-time. permanent role paying up to £60,000 with a hybrid work model based in their offices in the Birmingham area.

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Senior Internal Auditor will focus on carrying out risk based audit reviews across the business, with key responsibilities including:

• Undertaking audit reviews, and other ad-hoc assignments, as directed by the Internal Audit Manager, in line with the Internal Audit plan
• Carrying out project related reviews as required including attending project / steering groups
• Maintaining frequent, open communication with audit management and other key stakeholders including regularly updating senior management of control issues and trends and making practical recommendations.
• Producing formal written reports for Senior Management

Our ideal candidate for the Senior Internal Auditor opportunity:

• Has strong audit experience in an Internal Audit function within Financial Services
• Has strong knowledge of risk-based audit techniques including change assurance and data analytics
• Holds a relevant professional qualification (eg. ACA, ACCA, CIA)
• Is an effective communicator in both writing and speech, able to engage and influence a variety of audiences
• Is analytically-minded and a strategic thinker, able to apply appropriate professional scepticism
• Has strong time management and workload prioritisation skills
• Having experience of technology audit would be desirable
