Kind Consultancy is working with a specialist mortgage firm which is currently seeking a Mortgage Case Manager to join them in a full-time, permanent role working on Buy-to-Let mortgages, paying up to £30,000 with a hybrid work model requiring 2 in-office days per week in their Milton Keynes offices.
The Buy-to-Let Mortgage Case Manager will manage BTL mortgage applications from initial receipt through to completion, with key responsibilities including:
- Processing mortgage applications to pre-defined standards and service level agreements from initial receipt through to completion.
- Managing a case pipeline, ensuring applications are proactively managed to offer stage.
- Assessing all supporting documentation, identifying issues that require an escalation to the underwriting team.
- Delivering a first-class proactive customer service through inbound and outbound communication by telephone, email and letter to all case stakeholders including introducers, service suppliers, reference providers and occasionally applicants
- Ensuring a high level of accuracy for data entry and ongoing record keeping.
- Supporting the underwriting team and peer group in delivering an excellent, compliant service and a prompt and accurate decision at each stage of the process.
Our ideal candidate for the Mortgage Case Manager (Buy-to-Let) opportunity:
- Has a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage lifecycle, from application to completion with strong knowledge of Buy-to-Let (BTL) lending, including Limited Company, HMO, and Multi-Let structures.
- Is familiar with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and financial crime indicators.
- Has an up-to-date awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in mortgage lending.
- Can make decisions independently and adequately justify those decisions with clear reasoning and rationality.
- Has substantial experience of assessing mortgage applications against policy and criteria applying sound judgment, and clear reasoning.
- Is highly accurate in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with brokers, underwriters, and applicants.
- Is proficient in using mortgage processing systems and CRM platforms.
- Is skilled in identifying and escalating complex or high-risk cases.
- Holds CeMAP or equivalent mortgage qualification
- Has past experience in a mortgage processing or case management role with exposure to specialist lending or intermediary-based mortgage models.
- Has knowledge of property investment structures (e.g., SPVs, portfolio landlords).
