Kind Consultancy is working with a successful Commercial Bank which is currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join their Finance Department in a full-time, permanent role based in their West Midlands offices, paying circa £45,000.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Analyst will assist the Finance department in producing and developing the financial accounting for the Bank, with key responsibilities including:

  • Completing daily and weekly customer settlements reconciliations.
  • Managing the procure to pay process, ensuring that payments are inside business terms and approved in line with Bank policy.
  • Preparing and producing regulatory returns e.g. FINREP (financial reporting), balance sheet returns to Bank of England, PRA and FCA to the standard and timetable laid down by the relevant authorities.
  • Contributing to the preparation and production of statutory accounts, including key quantitative disclosures and notes.
  • Maintaining day-to-day control through performance of all daily, weekly and monthly financial controls including account reconciliation and process controls.
  • Completing data analysis and review of treasury investments to inform regulatory reporting treatment.
  • Reviewing and reconciling treasury or investment dealing through the Treasury Management System.
  • Checking treasury and investment deals once transacted.
  • Assisting with the automation of regulatory reporting returns through a dedicated third party solution.
  • Maintaining the administrative systems within the finance department, including the assets register, premises details and insurance.
  • Supporting with embedding financial reporting changes within regulatory returns, including updating documentation to support our interpretation.

For the Finance Analyst opportunity, we're looking for candidates who:

  • Must hold an Accountancy qualification (also holding a Banking qualification would be desirable)
  • Has strong working knowledge of Bank processes and the current Financial Services regulatory landscape
  • Is highly numerate and analytically minded with excellent attention to detail
  • Has previous experience of working with Banking technology, payment systems and processes
