Kind Consultancy is working with a fast-growing Challenger Bank which is currently seeking an Investor Relations Analyst to join them in a full-time, permanent positioned based in their West Midlands offices.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning & Reporting, the Investor Relations Analyst will produce high quality financial analysis, shareholder materials, and market intelligence that positions the bank credibly with existing and future stakeholders, with key responsibilities including:

• Preparing and maintaining stakeholder facing materials including corporate presentations, factsheets, briefing notes, Q&A documents, and communications for shareholders, potential investors, and rating agencies.
• Coordinating with external advisors on the production of materials under the direction of the line manager, ensuring consistency between the bank’s narrative and advisor positioning.
• Preparing briefing materials and anticipated questions for senior leadership ahead of stakeholder meetings and external engagements.
• Building and maintaining stakeholder contact relationship management - contacts, meeting outcomes, sentiment tracking, and follow-up actions across shareholders, potential investors, rating agencies, and strategic partners.
• Supporting the line manager in building and maintaining a secure document library for stakeholder engagement with increasing ownership as capability develops.
• Tracking stakeholder queries, themes, and feedback; produce concise summaries for senior leadership to inform strategy and messaging.
• Monitoring market developments, competitor results, regulatory changes, and sector trends relevant to the bank’s strategic positioning and external communications.
• Conducting peer benchmarking across UK and comparable banks to inform narrative, context, and stakeholder conversations.
• Producing research summaries to inform senior leadership of market expectations and competitive dynamics.
• Analysing the bank’s financial performance, key ratios, capital, and liquidity metrics to ensure accurate and consistent external messaging.
• Work closely with Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Financial Control and Risk teams to understand results, trends, and context.

Our ideal candidate for the Investor Relations Analyst:

• Has strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret banking sector financial statements, key ratios, and capital metrics.
• Demonstrates excellent written communication and presentation building skills: PowerPoint essential; ability to produce materials to a high visual and narrative standard.
• Has strong Excel skills for financial modelling, peer analysis, and benchmarking.
• Is able to translate complex financial information into clear and concise messages.
• Maintains consistently high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality assurance.

  Essential
• Has experience within banking, investor relations, corporate finance, FP&A, or equity research.
• Possesses a good understanding of UK regulatory disclosure frameworks and listed company communications standards.
• Experience supporting capital raising, shareholder engagement, or corporate transaction preparation would be desirable
