Kind Consultancy is working with a Commercial Bank which is currently seeking a Business Restructuring Relationship Manager to join them in a full-time, permanent role based in their West Midlands offices, paying up to £71,000 (dependent on experience).

Part of the Credit Risk team, the Business Restructuring Relationship Manager will work on complex and sensitive cases where business customers are experiencing financial difficulty, with key responsibilities including:

• Providing in-depth, specialist restructuring and realisation knowledge and experience, actively working with customers to understand their business strategy and operations to develop effective strategies
• Managing a portfolio of debt exposures for customers in financial difficulty.
• Building strong relationships and trust with customers, enabling delivery of difficult messages, whilst appreciating the sensitivity of customers' situations and maintaining the highest standards of conduct throughout the relationship.
• Broaden and deepen third party relationships with sector specialists to optimise outcomes for both the Bank and customer.
• Manage credit exposures within the portfolio to ensure timely identification and mitigation of key risks.
• Supporting colleagues in Commercial Banking and Credit Underwriting through the application of specialist skills.
• Developing and enhance the Restructuring and Recovery skills of colleagues, where required,
• Producing accurate and timely reports and MI for Senior Management on specific cases and the overall standing of the Business Restructuring portfolio.
• Proactively updating Business Restructuring related policies in line with changes to regulatory requirements and the banks current approach.

Our ideal candidate for the Business Restructuring Relationship Manager opportunity:

• Has 5+ years of experience working in Restructuring, Recovery and Relationship Management within Commercial Banking
• Demonstrates strong operational knowledge of bank processes and legal and regulatory issues
• Has a proven track record in restructuring and recovery of businesses in the SME market and of relationship managing a portfolio
• Displays excellent interpersonal, planning and organising and communication skills
• Has strong financial analysis skills and can interpret and translate financial information for a variety of audiences.
• Can maintain consistently strong attention to detail while managing multiple responsibilities.
