Kind Consultancy is working with a large Financial Services and Property Services business, which is currently seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager to join them in a full-time, permanent role paying up to £60,000 dependent on experience, withy a hybrid work model based in their London offices.
As a key member of the Risk team, the Enterprise Risk Manager will ensure the effective implementation of the Risk Management framework across multiple functions, with key responsibilities including:
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior leadership members across multiple functions.
- Partnering with senior leaders to effectively manage risks and support their own risk management activities.
- Supporting and coordinating delivery of risk framework components through proactive business partnering.
- Facilitating the review and update of risk appetite statements, ensuring regular reporting of metrics and the establishment of plans to address risks outside of appetite.
- Overseeing the maintenance and review of policies, ensuring they provide comprehensive risk coverage.
- Promoting the creation and update of RCSAs in accordance with the risk framework, ensuring they accurately reflect the risk landscape.
- Developing and updating risk event reporting processes, ensuring root causes are identified and trends are analysed.
- Ensuring all risk issues and actions are adequately captured, tracked, resolved and delivered.
- Developing effective risk reporting mechanisms
- Delivering risk management support and guidance on functional initiatives and transformation projects to ensure effective risk management.
- Creating effective processes to capture, report, and manage emerging and horizon risks that could impact business functions.
Our ideal candidate for the Enterprise Risk Manager opportunity:
- Must have 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Must be a qualified accountant, holding ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Having practical experience of managing risks within finance, HR, and/or legal functions is highly advantageous would be highly desirable, as would demonstrating an understanding the unique risks these functions face and how to tailor risk management practices accordingly.
- Is analytically minded and a strategic thinker, with a track record of effectively assessing and managing risks.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Has proven leadership abilities, with experience of coaching and mentoring teams.
- Is highly IT-literate and proficient in the use of risk management tools and systems.
- Is adaptable with a pro-active and collaborative approach to work.
- Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field would be desirable.
