Kind Consultancy is working with a large pensions business which is currently seeking a Business Resilience Risk Manager to join them in a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid work model (50% in office in London) paying up to £80,000 dependent on experience.
The Business Resilience Risk Manager will support and advocate for a transparent and proactive risk culture across the business, with key responsibilities including:
- Developing and implementing the business resilience framework, including business continuity planning, policies, and strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the relevant business areas.
- Designing and conducting testing, training, and simulation exercises to validate the effectiveness of continuity plans and enhance organisational readiness.
- Monitoring emerging risks and industry trends, adapting resilience strategies to meet evolving threats and business needs.
- Collaborating with relevant teams to conduct risk assessments, business impact analysis, and scenario planning to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats to critical business areas.
- Supporting the implementation of an effective Enterprise Risk Management Framework and related policies.
- Assisting with the risk and scenario sections of the ICARA.
- Delivering clear, timely, and accurate risk reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Providing risk input on projects and change activities, including maintaining risk registers and heat maps.
Our ideal candidate for the Business Resilience Risk Manager opportunity:
- Has substantial experience in Operational Risk and Business Resilience work within regulated environments
- Has an up-to-date and in-depth understanding of UK defined benefit pension scheme regulations.
- Is able to interpret and apply regulations and policies.
- Holds a relevant Risk Management qualification and is familiar with risk software.
- High integrity and ethical standards.
- Is a team-player with a collaborative approach to work and strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Is proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused.
