Kind Consultancy is working with a Consumer Credit business which is currently seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join them in a full-time, permanent position based in their Northamptonshire office, paying up to £35,000 dependent on experience.

The Compliance Coordinator is a key member of the Compliance team and will deliver compliance assurance activities with core responsibilities including:

  • Assisting with the implementation and review of the policies, procedures, and processes needed to maintain a robust compliance culture.
  • Ensuring that applicable regulatory requirements (FCA Consumer Credit, Data Protection etc) are considered in all business-wide initiatives.
  • Maintaining the Financial Services and Data Protection policies and procedure documents.
  • Carrying out compliance related activities necessary for business units to maintain their authorisation to conduct Consumer Credit business activities including investigation audits, business contact visits.
  • Providing management information on assurance findings and associated remediation plans
  • Assisting in the delivery of compliance regulatory training programme, including introductory training for new employees
  • Monitoring the performance of the compliance assurance programme, recommending appropriate steps to improve its ongoing effectiveness.
  • Assisting with, and where required, managing compliance projects (as part of the overall Compliance Monitoring Plan)
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders, all appropriate regulatory bodies and other relevant third parties (e.g. external advisors).
  • Collaborating with other departments such as Legal, Credit, Portfolio Management and Customer Service to investigate and resolve any compliance issues as they arise.

Our ideal candidate for the Compliance Coordinator opportunity:

  • Has experience of work in a Compliance role within Financial Services (Assurance and Audit backgrounds will also be considered)
  • Is an excellent communicator in both writing and speech
  • Is highly personable with a positive attitude
  • Is IT literate and a confident user of Microsoft Office products
  • Is highly organised and able to independently manage multiple tasks.
  • Has 2+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services
  • Holds 5 GCSEs or equivalent
