Kind Consultancy is working with a leading Consumer Finance business which is currently seeking a Collections Agent to join them in a full-time, permanent position in their Manchester office, paying £26,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience.

The Collections Agent will be part of the Payment Support Team, working with customers who have outstanding payments, with key responsibilities including:

• Handling inbound and outbound calls with customers who are experiencing financial difficulty
• Conducting positive conversations with customers to find suitable solutions for missed payments
• Creating payment plans and working with other specialist teams to support the customer
• Being understanding and empathetic towards customers in vulnerable circumstances
• Logging all conversations and administrative actions on the relevant systems
• Reviewing  any processes which could be enhanced to improve the customer and business experience
• Identifying and raising any risks with your line manager

Our ideal candidate for the Collections Agent opportunity:

• Must have previous experience of Collections work within Financial Services
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills in both writing and speech, with strong active listening and the ability to make customers feel heard, understood and respected
• Has a good understanding of the methods of supporting customers in financial difficulty
• Is enthusiastic about supporting people and improving their financial help.
• Is able to pro-actively organise their own workload
