Kind Consultancy is working with a well-established retail Financial Services business which is currently seeking an Operational Resilience Analyst to join them in a permanent role paying up to £50,000 dependent on experience, with a hybrid work model requiring 1 in-office day per week in their North Yorkshire offices.
The Operational Resilience Analyst is responsible for the delivery of Operational Resilience objectives, with key activities including:
- Taking ownership of resilience mapping workbooks and ensuring that they remain current and complete, clearly evidencing where there are contingency gaps.
- Supporting the Operational Resilience Manager in the review of Impact Tolerances, ensuring relevant metrics are collated, analysed and documented.
- Leading on the delivery and documentation of a broad range of scenario tests, including producing delivery slides, running desktop exercises and performing data analysis and simulation exercises
- Contributing to the design of resilience targets, working with the wider business to ensure that resilience tests are performed where necessary
- Documenting in-depth lessons learned and vulnerabilities identified following scenario testing or real disruption, articulating the findings to the Senior Management team.
- Maintaining and/or monitoring resilience related policies, procedures and response plans.
- Producing clear and accurate MI and reporting in various formats each month
Our ideal candidate for the Operational Resilience Analyst opportunity:
- Has a strong understanding of business operations and/or previous experience of Operational Resilience work
- Has 2 or more years of experience in the Financial Services sector within an oversight role.
- Is highly organised with a strong sense of governance
- Can work equally well independently as well as part of a team
- Can communicate proactively and confidently to influence stakeholders across the business
- Is forward thinking and anticipates deadlines without prompting
- Has excellent writing skills
- Is genuinely interested in resilience and strengthening business capabilities and contingency planning
- Has a strong sense of ownership
