Motor Finance Complaint Handlers

Kind Consultancy is working with the Financial Ombudsman Service which is currently recruiting Motor Finance Complaints Handlers for a 12 month, remote contract. The contract has an initial daily rate of £210 via umbrella, rising to £260 once an accreditation period is completed, with the start date set for October 2025.

The Motor Finance Complaints Handler contract will focus on investigating both sides of disputes between customers and Motor Finance firms in order to make a fair decision on the outcome.

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Have 5 or more years of experience handling escalated complaints relating to motor finance, consumer credit, irresponsible lending, credit cards, car finance commission, credit broking and debt collection, guarantor loans, payday loans, home credit or unaffordable lending.
  • Have access to their own computer equipment
  • Are confident in writing bespoke final response letters

We are unfortunately not able to consider anyone who has applied for a role with the Financial Ombudsman Service in the last 6 months, and due to Conflict of Interest rules we also cannot accept applicants who have worked for a motor finance provider or broker in the UK within the last 6 months.
