Data Lake Technical Project Manager

Kind Consultancy is leading with a large UK Financial Services brand which is currently seeking a Data Lake Technical Project Manager to join them on a contract inside IR35 running to the end of 2025 and paying up to £589 per day via umbrella.

The Data Lake Technical Project Manager will lead the requirements, design and build of a data lake. This will involve design and build of a Microsoft Azure cloud data store/lake, interfaces and data feeds into the lake, plus reporting and MI to support business requirements, with responsibilities including:

  • Accountability for the overall project/workstream and associated outcomes
  • Developing and owning the end-to-end delivery plan for the project/workstream, including the REAP
  • Working with Delivery Management and Workstream Leads to set priorities, agree milestones, develop plans and to identify and manage integration points and hand-offs.
  • Setting the development priorities for the project/workstream, supporting with Release scoping and delivery planning
  • Overseeing supplier work and associated deliverables, including the review and sign-off process
  • Ensuring traceability of requirements, maintain log of artefacts, etc.
  • Ownership of project/workstream level reporting and RAID
  • Overall responsibility for complying with bank change standards

Our ideal candidate for the Data Lake Technical Project Manager contract:

  • Has a history of managing business change as well as technical delivery
  • Is able to plan in Microsoft Project and present management level information
  • Has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure

Supplier Relationship Manager

Kind Consultancy is working with a leading Financial Services brand which is currently seeking a Supplier Relationship Manager to join them in a full-time, remote contract for 6 months, paying £434 per day via Umbrella, inside IR35.

The Supplier Relationship Manager will lead and manage strategic Master Service Agreement (MSA) partner arrangements that supplement delivery of a change agenda and administer support for BAU systems and applications. Key responsibilities of the Supplier Relationship Manager will include:

  • Oversight and coordination of MSA activities through the end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Financial planning and tracking of MSA costs ensuring baseline costs are managed and re-charge targets are met through tight control of MI.
  • Management, tracking and reporting of risks associated with MSA services.
  • Assurance of MSA metrics, controls and relevant Key Performance Indicators to support risk appetite, ensuring these are actively managed through the appropriate governance forums in accordance with supplier framework and regulations.
  • Embedding Supplier Management best practice, principles, guidelines & criteria.

Our ideal candidate for the Supplier Relationship Manager contract:

Telephone Banking Associate (Glasgow)

Kind Consultancy is working with a leading Banking & Financial Services brand which is currently seeking Telephony Banking Associates for a 6 month contract role, with the possibility of a permanent role to follow. Paying £17.89 per hour via umbrella, the position will be fully office-based in the organisation’s Glasgow office for a training period, before moving to Hybrid, working 35 hours per week Monday to Sunday.

The Telephone Banking Associate will focus on delivering exceptional customer service with key responsibilities including:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service via telephone and webchat, ensuring the customer experience is as positive as possible
  • Acting as an ambassador for the brand, going above and beyond for customers whenever possible
  • Building rapport with customers and answering questions in relation to their accounts and applications
  • Identifying and dealing with customers who may have vulnerabilities which require more tailored help and support.

Senior Underwriter – Remote Contract

Kind Consultancy is working with a major UK Financial Services brand which is currently seeking multiple Senior Underwriters for a remote contract opportunity, for an initial six month, full time contract paying £31.02 per hour via umbrella.

A key component of the Mortgage Operations division of the business, the Senior Underwriters are responsible for the assessment of the highest risk mortgage enquiries and the customer journey from Decision in Principle to Mortgage offer, with key responsibilities including:

  • Making lending decisions up to £1.5m that comply with the organisation’s risk appetite, policy requirements, internal underwriting guidelines and are within your mandated authority limits
  • Ensuring all lending decisions comply with regulatory requirements such as MCOB, Responsible Lending, Consumer Duty.
  • Where appropriate, identifying and agreeing high quality exceptions to standard lending policy to support the business’s growth aspirations.
  • Communicating with customers to fully explaining lending decision rationale.
  • Proactively managing your own performance, monitoring your success and taking action to improve your performance and capability.
  • Consistently delivering agreed targets and Service Level Agreements, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering high quality lending decisions.

Our ideal candidate for the Senior Underwriting contract:

  • Has 2 or more years of mortgage underwriting experience and currently hold an active mortgage full discretion (i.e. ability to agree lending outside of standard policy) Lending Mandate of at least £500,000.
  • Has a detailed knowledge of the regulatory framework which applies to mortgages and is able to apply this consistently to all decisions.  Regulations include:
    • MCOB including responsible lending principles
    • FCA vulnerable customer guidance
    • PRA Portfolio Landlord lending standards
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Is a great communicator, confident engaging with customers and stakeholders (both internal and external) to gather relevant information, relay decisions, and maintain accurate and appropriately detailed records of underwriting decisions and their supporting rationale.
  • Is able to be empathetic and flexible in underwriting decisions, always aiming to always deliver the best outcome for both customer and the business.
  • Has excellent Relationship-building skills –  building strong internal and external relationships is central to being successful in this role.
  • Is enthusiastic and driven to deliver great service internally and externally to support the mortgage strategy.
